Charlotte OC's 'Hangover' provided the soundtrack to some of last year's booziest occasions, as well as its most soul-crushing morning-afters, now the Blackburn-born youngster is back with another softly creeping soul-pop ballad in 'Strange'. Summoning the sparser bits of Lana Del Rey's Born To Die, Charlotte's liquid vocal drips through the cracks in the melody's gentle, swaying synths and muted blips - and although at face value, it's translucent, ghostly paean, there's something still oddly comforting about every nuanced movement she makes. Strange magic indeed.
