‘Ice In Mouth’ is the new single from LA-based trio Casino Hearts. The band have continued to refine their frosty, pulsating sound with this cut. The widescreen texture of the track is defined by the chug of huge synth sounds and punchy drums which contrast and complement the distant, soothing lead vocals. The self-directed video that accompanies the track matches the lo-fi vibe perfectly, with grainy images and saturated colours reflecting the slowly distorting sound. “I wrote 'Ice In Mouth' after I fell in love during a snowstorm last winter,’ explains lead singer Forest Holter. “Lots of mouths, lots of snow eating and screaming.” Check out Casino Hearts’ 2024 debut EP, Lose Your Halo, and prepare for a follow-up in 2025. -Dan Peeke
