On ‘Keeping Up’, Boniface explains “love is complicated, and when you get close to people you start seeing the bad along with the good. You see the bad in yourself, the baggage you’re carrying and you realise everyone else has it too. You realise that no matter how hard you try, you’re going to make mistakes”. The track is atmospheric and uplifting in its sound, despite supporting some meaningful lyrics. The lead vocal is vulnerable when needed, but the catchy chorus ramps up the power exactly where it should. The rooftop-shot video perfectly matches what we hear, with psychedelic images popping up between an impactful live performance.
