Montreal quintet Bon Enfant have released their new single, ‘Minimum’. It’s a swirling slice of psych-pop that feels distant and brooding thanks to the warmth of its synth accompaniment and the meditative persistence of that bouncy quaver rhythm. The track breaks out into a distorted mesh of sound for its final moments, reaching a triumphant, affirming climax. The video that accompanies the track is influenced by “the black & white films of the '50s and experimental cinema.
