This debut demo from UK duo Bad Sounds is a dead ringer for a hidden bonus track off of The English Riviera - from the lolloping bass riff right down to the willowy vocal hook ‘I feel like living alone’, it could easily be Joe Mount crooning over this slick sunny melody. It certainly pays tribute to the likes of Metronomy, Tom Vek, Hot Chip, but it’s no pastiche. ‘Living Alone’ stands shoulder to shoulder with the best of ‘em.
