This week brings good news and band news from the Woman’s Hour camp. After a four year silence the London-based synth-poppers have announced their split. However, consolation can be found in the shimmering new single from their recently-announced sophomore album Ephyra. If ‘Don’t Speak’ is an accurate indication of things to come, it’s clear to see why Woman’s Hour didn’t want these tracks to go to waste. Blending tumbling electronic sequences with polished, pitch-shifted vocals, swelling synth-bass and hard-hitting digital drums, it’s enough to take your breath away.
