Bran new London outfit TENDER aren't hanging about. They only just poked their head above ground this week with the snaking '90s euphoria of 'Legion' - now comes the follow-up, just days later. 'Armour' comes from a similar world to their (very) recent debut, in that it conveys both modern and nostalgic essences; SOHN-ish synth loops are cut with some classically British vocals, downtempo bedroom beats lap at grooving basslines, it's a special blend. We're delighted these guys are a serious, full-time project, it would have been a travesty if 'Legion' was a one-off. - DC
