JOVIALE GLASS PEACH
Immersive songwriter Joviale creates unique melodies and textures for a fresh sonic sensation. Today, they have dropped their second EP Hurrican Belle, named after a champion that was inspired by Peter Shenai’s “Hurricane Bell” experiment, in which he cast brass bells modelled on the five stages of Hurricane Katrina. Joviale has released a lyric video for EP track 'Glass Peach'. The song begins with jagged synth stabs, closely followed by Joviale's cotton wool vocals that open with the line, 'Fragile and sweet, my glass peach, sterile and cheap, my glass peach'. As the song progresses, sentimental piano plays softly whilst strings sing and guitar strings bend. When the beat comes in, the mood quickly changes from sombre to upbeat and dance-worthy, embellished with cheery saxophone. Check out 'Glass Peach' and the rest of Hurricane Belle. -Ellie Rose-Davies
