The honest songwriting of Australia’s Hazlett has captured the attention of an ever growing audience thanks to the heartfelt, personal feeling he injects into every one of his releases. His latest effort, ‘Monsters’, is no different. Alongside his frequent collaborator Freddy Alexander, the track is an indie-twinged, folky number touching reassurance to insecurity that everything will be okay in the end. On the release, he says “If our hearts eventually land in the right place who am I to judge how we get there. We’re human, we’re gonna make mistakes. We’re all gonna be Monsters from time to time and that’s okay”. The track comes ahead of his exciting upcoming EP, due for an early 2020 release. - Dan Peeke
