GRIMM GRIMM KAZEGA FUITARA SAYONARA (KLEIN REMIX)
Having released his second album Cliffhanger around this time last year, and with whispers of album 3 in the works, London-based experimentalist Grimm Grimm has shared news of an innovative new release, which re-visits one of his most treasured tracks. The ominous clockwork nursery song 'Kazega Fuitara Sayonara' (Goodbye When The Wind Blows) was originally released via Kevin Shields (My Bloody Valentine) and Charlotte Marionneau (Le Volume Courbe)’s Pickpocket / Honest Jons Records in 2014. However, 5 years later the track has been given a new lease of life courtesy of musician, producer and Hyperdub signing Klein. Acting as the first of two re-interpretations on the double A-side, Klein's glitchy take on 'Kazega Fuitara Sayonara' arrives alongside an equally intriguing video directed by filmmaker and musical improv-enthusiast Kenichi Iwasa. The second remix, by Tokyo-based left-field hiphop musician Killer Bong, will be available on limited 7" vinyl via Japanese cult label bridFriend on the 20th of June. -Holly Mullineaux
